A 105-year-old runner has broken the 100m record.

Julia Hawkins, who is nicknamed ‘Hurricane’, ran 100m in 1 minute and 2 seconds while competing in the women’s 105+ age category. She was competing in the Louisiana Senior Games.

flash back of term 2

 ki ora my name is lorenzo and this is my flash back of the whole of term 2. on week 3 we had the best year 8 camp it was funny and very painful. well start with camp first we woke 7:00 in the morning then we went in this big bus then 2 hours and 30 minutes later we got there it looked small at first but when you look at the back its very big they said there are fun actives the first activey we did was AXE THROWING! it was cool at first but when you thorw it its use less but it was still fun but we finish that then there was this huge court but i stayed upstaties chillin but then went down then went back up then we had diner then watched a movie then went to sleep. and thats all if i keep going you woud get bored. then we have fiafia i was in the tongan boys it was funny but serious at the same time then the day came and we were 2nd to last but it was worth it. then the disco the disco was like a party they and fruit snacks but got boring but yea that was the whole of term 2 and thank you for reading this whole intire thing your probuly asleeping and bye.

FIAFIA NIGHT

 on thursday night we had fiafia that is when the whole shool chooses a group they wanna be in its basicly poly fest i was in the togan group we were 2nd to last but it was worrth i. my uncles nd unties were there and some of my nanas my dads mum is in america so she had to watch from the phone but it was really fun and i hope you liked my grop and god bless you all.

YR8 CAMP

 Last week on wednesday the year 8s went to coromandel and it was a 1 hour and 30 minute drive. It was long and boring but we went to talk to our friends. When we got there we were helping some other teachers and we had to go sit in the dining room and we had to listen.then we went to our capin and the people in my capin was Sika,John,Jermaine,Devante,Tengionga,Moui,Franisc,Siakupenga,Brandon,Kahurangi,Osa,and finally the last one me.when we saw each other we were going to stay up the first night but it wasn't night yet.then after that we found out our teams. The teams were green yellow blue red and the names for the groups were kauaeranga kauri coromandel temps. Then we went to the gym but it was a basketball court but it was still cool. Then we went in our groups. We were on the bottom left. On the first game we played tag but we had to steal tags and blue won that round then we played this other game but we had to drag the person on the mat and had to drag them to the other end of the wall then we played tiger war yellow and red teamed and blue and green teamed yellow won because the teachers jumped in. then we did our first activity was axe throwing and this boy named kingston was very good he was better then all of us. Then it was night we went to go watch a movie but i stayed because we were aloud to and the most of my capin stayed with me and then we stayed up a little bit the we went to sleep and the was the first day.

I am in a war it is pretty hard work i hope you are safe with your family and i hope i can come and see you soon.it's been very hard for us because some of us are getting disease because our clothes are dirty and if it's dirty then we will get sick .2 million of us have died  from the disease and some died because our enemies were on top of the cliffs and they were shooting us from up top.and the food is kinda cooked and it's very hard we get a hard cracker some jam some tea some cheese and a onion.then we had to build our own homes and we had to sleep sitting up and it was really uncomfortable.
